Donald G. Schiefelbein

February 10,1929 - March 14, 2011

Donald (Don) G. Schiefelbein, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, March 14, 2011, following a long illness.  He was born in Janesville on February 10, 1929, the son of Harry and Elsie (Dallman) Schiefelbein.  Don worked for many years as a talented carpenter.  He had a passion for the outdoors.  He took pride in his flower beds and fruit trees.  He enjoyed fishing and vacationing in northern Wisconsin.

Survivors include the mother of his three children; Gregg (Elaine) Schiefelbein, Diane (Doug) Feggestad, and Sue (Randy) Dailey; seven grandchildren, Joni (Jason), Lori, Tami (Tyler), Marc (Niki), Aaron (Kris), Jon (Jennie), and Jenny; two step grandchildren, Sarah and Eric; five great-grandchildren, a step great-granddaughter; his beloved canine friend Buddy; a sister; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.  Don was preceded in death by his son Gordon; his parents, a brother, and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N Wright Road, Janesville.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  We would like to thank HospiceCare, Inc. for their amazing care and compassion to Don and his family.
